ATTENTION: For the first time weight limits for the women's physique disciplines!

Since August 1, 2020, weight limits also apply to the women's physics disciplines in Austria!

Since August 1, 2020, weight limits have also been in force in Austria for the women's physique disciplines.

The general formula for the calculation is height in cm minus a constant d, and to this value a percentage x is either added or subtracted. For the women Athletic Physique the formula is therefore (height in cm minus 103) plus 2 percent. Those who exceed this limit can only start in women's bodybuilding.

For women's Sport Physique, however, the formula is: (height in cm minus 103) plus 2 percent: (body height in cm minus 105) minus 4 percent. In addition, a skin fold thickness of at least 5 mm in the abdominal area must be shown. This objectifies the "excessive definition" that the WBPF rule book does not want. If this limit is exceeded, up to three additional measuring points can be used as compensation in the following order: hip, triceps and knee inside. If the average value of the measured areas is less than 5 mm, then the athlete in question is too defined and can only start in the Athletic Physique class.

For the women Model Physique the formula is (body height in cm minus 105) minus 15 percent. In addition, a skin fold thickness of at least 8 mm in the abdominal/abbilical area must be shown. This objectifies the definition that the WBPF rule book does not want. If this limit is exceeded, up to three additional measuring points can be used as compensation in the following order: hip, triceps and knee inside, as in Sport Physique. If the average value of the measured areas is less than 5 mm, then the athlete in question is too defined and can only start in the Sport Physique class, provided that the skin fold thickness does not fall below the required limit of 5 mm. If this value is also exceeded, then only a start in the Athletic Physique is possible.
